The unusually creative and perfectionist watchmaker Constant Girard founded a watch factory with his brother in 1852, which shortly afterwards was renamed in "Girard-Perregaux" when he had married Constant Marie Perregaux, who also came from a family of watchmakers. The most famous model of the house was the "Tourbillon with Three Gold Bridges" from the year of 1867. Girard-Perregaux was said to have produced the first watches in series about 1880. The most popular models are: Richeville, Traveller, Vintage 1945, 1966 and Pour Ferrari.
