The Breitling Crosswind is one of those watches that was discontinued by the renowned watch manufacturer years ago. The design of the watch is characterised in particular by the Roman numerals, which immediately catch the eye with their size and appearance. The rotating bezel with riders at the quarter hours and the onion crown are classic Breitling features. The watch movement is the tried-and-tested calibre B13, which is considered to be particularly precise. Most Crosswind models are certified as chronometers due to their accuracy.
The Breitling comes in a wide range of colours. There are silver and gold versions of the case, with the gold versions being particularly eye-catching. The dial is available in blue, black and white, which can be wonderfully combined with the case designs depending on your preferences.As with almost all Breitling models, there were also special versions of the Crosswind with the Crosswind Racing and Crosswind Special. A brushed case and the Chronomat dial are features of the Crosswind Racing, while the sub-dials and totalisers are part of the character of the Crosswind Special.
The Breitling Crosswind Special Limited Edition, of which only 1,000 watches were brought onto the market, is particularly coveted. For collectors, this watch has a rarity value and is highly sought after. Red was also used as a colour for this limited collection.
The investment volume for a Breitling Crosswind is between €2,000 and €10,000. The relatively inexpensive and pre-owned versions cost just over €2,300. A Breitling Crosswind Special with 18k yellow gold, on the other hand, can cost around 14,800 euros. For particularly beautiful variants such as the Breitling Crosswind Chronograph (gold plated), the prospective buyer has to spend around 8,000 euros.
