Baume & Mercier

The founding of the company in 1918 resulted from the meeting between William Baume, heir of the Baume house established since 1830, and the renowned watchmaker and jeweler Paul Mercier. The company soon made a name for itself with the creation of jewelry watches for Women’s watches and with elegant Men’s watches and Chronographs. Since 1988, 60 percent of the company shares have belonged to Cartier. The best-known models are: Baumatic, Capeland, Classima, Hampton, Riviera, and Linea.
