The company Panerai was founded in 1860. The founder was Giovanni Panerai. Panerai produces only about 25,000 Watches annually and is one of the most interesting and exclusive watch manufacturers. Panerai was known for the high reliability of its Watches. Therefore, in 1938, Panerai was commissioned by the Italian Navy to design a Dive Watch suitable for tough naval use. With this Dive Watch, Panerai made watch history and quickly became a sought-after luxury watch manufacturer through the reissue of the Watch. The best-known series are Luminor Marina and Radiomir.
