TAG Heuer becomes exclusive partner of Formula 1

In 2025, TAG Heuer returns as the official timekeeper in Formula 1, underscoring its commitment to top-level motorsport. Just in time for the 75th anniversary of the racing series, TAG Heuer takes on this prestigious role, replacing Rolex in this function.

TAG Heuer and Formula 1: A Tradition of Excellence

Since 1969, TAG Heuer has been closely connected with Formula 1. The partnership began with a presence on racing cars and was further solidified in 1972 through the role as a team sponsor. Between 1992 and 2003, TAG Heuer took on the prestigious function of official timekeeper of Formula 1 and accompanied, among others, the world championships of McLaren and Ferrari during this successful era.

This long-standing connection to motorsport remains a key part of the brand identity of TAG Heuer to this day. In addition to the commitment in Formula 1, collaborations with legendary drivers such as Juan Manuel Fangio and Ayrton Senna significantly contributed to the brand's recognition. Later, personalities like Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso strengthened TAG Heuer's presence in international motorsport.

The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Collection

From this unique motorsport tradition emerged an iconic watch series: the TAG Heuer Formula 1. Inspired by the Heuer Easy Rider, the brand developed a classic 3-Dial chronograph as well as other models that show a close connection to motorsport. In 2007, the collection was expanded with its own ladies' line, and several special editions complemented the portfolio – including the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Chronograph Max Verstappen, created in collaboration with the multiple world champion.

A special look into the past shows how timeless the design of these models is. For this reason, TAG Heuer will reinterpret the colorful classic from 1986 in a limited new edition. In cooperation with the lifestyle brand Kith, TAG Heuer presents the Formula 1 Series 1 in ten exclusive color variants – a tribute to one of the brand's most significant collections.
