Cartier novelties from Watches & Wonders 2025

New colors, new shapes, familiar faces

With a mix of iconic elegance and bold creativity, Cartier once again captivates the watch world at Watches & Wonders 2025 in Geneva.

The Maison not only presents artfully reworked classics like the Tank Américaine or the Santos-Dumont, but also surprises with new designs, material combinations, and technical refinements. One thing becomes clear: Cartier remains true to its reputation as the "Jeweler of Kings, King of Jewelers" – and continues to rethink watchmaking in its own unique way. So will Cartier continue to ride the wave of success after the fair?

Tank Louis Cartier: Timeless elegance in a new dimension

Since its introduction in 1922, the Tank Louis Cartier has stood for sophistication and style. In its latest version, the watch is presented in a larger case with a height of 38 mm, a width just under 28 mm, and a slim depth of 8.18 mm. Made of yellow gold, it houses the advanced manufacture caliber 1899 MC with automatic winding. The finely guilloché Dial, combined with blued sword hands, a sapphire-set crown, and a semi-matte gray alligator leather strap, combines traditional design with modern watchmaking art.

Privé Tank à Guichets: Revival of a rarity

A highlight of the presentation is the reissue of the extremely rare Tank à Guichets. Originally introduced in 1928 and produced in fewer than 400 pieces, this model is characterized by a unique design with a closed metal case and two small windows to display hours and minutes. The current version stays true to the original and is offered in a limited edition of 200 numbered pieces. It features a case measuring 37.6 mm x 24.8 mm and is powered by the specially developed hand-wound caliber 9755 MC, which enables jumping hours and wandering minutes.

Tressage: Sculptural jewelry watches

With the Tressage collection, Cartier enters new territory in the design of jewelry watches. The name "Tressage" (French for "braiding") reflects the design: an elongated rectangular case (56.2 x 25.7 mm, 11.5 mm thick), entwined by two asymmetrical braided elements. The collection includes four variants, including a minimalist model in yellow gold with a black Dial as well as an opulent white gold version set with 916 diamonds (12.2 carats) and a navy blue strap. All models are equipped with a quartz movement and are water-resistant up to 30 meters.

Panthère de Cartier: Iconic designs reinterpreted

The Panthère de Cartier collection, known for its supple link bracelet and square case, receives an update with abstract animal patterns created through hand-applied lacquer and artistic gemstone settings. These models are available in various sizes and precious metal variants, with a focus on the combination of watchmaking and jewelry design.

Conclusion: Cartier stays true to itself – and reinvents itself

Cartier's presentation at Watches & Wonders 2025 proves how versatile the brand is: classic and playful, elegant and surprising, deeply rooted in history and yet always ready to explore new paths. Whether backward-running time, double time zones, or floating movements – Cartier shows that watchmaking can also be a creative statement. And thus remains one of the most style-defining players in Haute Horlogerie.
