Cartier New Releases at Watches and Wonders 2026: Crash Skeleton and Roadster

Cartier consciously connects to its own history with its new releases at Watches and Wonders 2026 in Geneva. The current models incorporate key elements of the brand’s distinctive design and bring iconic lines to new brilliance. Fans of the brand can look forward to special highlights, including a limited Cartier Privé Crash Skeleton, the return of the legendary Roadster, the Baignoire in the Clou de Paris version, as well as new interpretations of the Santos.

Cartier Privé Crash Skeleton: Futuristically Distorted

For the 10th anniversary of the Privé collection, Cartier combines two fascinating elements in an extraordinary timepiece. On one hand, the model pays tribute to the long-standing line itself; on the other, it picks up the iconic case shape from 1967, crafted from precious platinum and characterized by its distinctively asymmetrical, deliberately distorted silhouette.

Inside, the manufacture also makes a strong statement. The skeletonized movement caliber 1967 MC reveals its elaborately crafted bridges, artistically designed as Roman numerals and hand-finished. The Cartier Privé Crash Skeleton is limited to only 150 pieces, combining bold design with exclusive rarity, which will likely give it lasting desirability.

Revival of the Cartier Roadster

After nearly two decades, the Cartier Roadster makes its comeback at Watches and Wonders 2026, stylishly reconnecting with its history. The Maison carefully reinterprets the design, focusing on improved ergonomics while preserving the characteristic integrated crown concept. Depending on the case size, different automatic calibers are used: the larger version is powered by caliber 1847 MC, while the mid-sized model features caliber 1899 MC.

Santos New Releases at the Fair

The Cartier Santos, a timeless classic of the manufacture, is regularly and carefully developed further and complemented with new ideas without losing its distinctive character. At the fair, Cartier now presents a particularly exclusive version with an Obsidian Dial, appealing equally to experts and watch enthusiasts. Combined with a specially crafted gold bracelet made of 394 individual links, this creates yet another Santos with great expressiveness and impressive presence.

Baignoire “Clou de Paris”: Oval Jewelry Watch

A special highlight of the collection is the oval jewelry watch Baignoire in the "Clou de Paris" version, which impresses with a striking new surface finish. The characteristic pyramid-shaped pattern runs consistently over the entire case and bracelet, giving the watch an impressive texture.

Rendered in monochrome yellow gold, it immediately draws attention and exudes a strong visual presence. Thanks to the elaborate handcrafted processing, finely executed cut, and the harmonious setting of numerous diamonds, Cartier has once again created an extraordinary and artfully staged watch.

Myst de Cartier as a Work of Design Art

The Myst de Cartier can certainly be described as a masterpiece of watchmaking art. Countless hours of handcrafting have gone into these models to create this work of art. Exemplary design features include the geometric pavé Dial, the fine onyx setting, the triangular hour markers, and the elastic, clasp-free bracelet. Visually, a rare overall impression arises from the entire interplay, which almost appears statue-like. The Myst de Cartier emphasizes the unusual in Cartier’s watches.
